Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She was raised as part of an ethnically diverse family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim, a Malaysian. There are two brothers younger than her and one older sister. The 80s were the time when her parents emigrated to Bahrain because of civil war on Sri Lanka. This is why she was born and raised in the country. In Australia, she studied Media and Communications at University of Sydney after completing her studies in Bahrain. To further develop her passion for the world of languages, cultures and languages, she was enrolled at the Berlitz school of languages, in which she could learn Spanish and also improve her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she won the title in 2006. In 2006 she won her the Miss Sri Lanka title. Then, she stepped into the world of television, hosting a program on Sri Lankan business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone was the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens she competed in badminton at national level championships but left her profession in sports to become a fashion model. Padukone is a native of Mangalorean origins and speaks Konkani as her mother tongue. Padukone Village is located inside Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi Distric of Karnataka located in India. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of international repute, and her mother is a travel agent.
